In esposizione oltre quaranta ritratti dipinti ad acquerello e inchiostro su carta e su tela dall’artista andalusa Laura Fernández T.
Un viaggio di indagine e introspezione attraverso volti “senza confini”, dalla sua Spagna all’amato Salento all’intero bacino del Mediterraneo, per abbattere le barriere, anche quelle che siamo stati costretti ad alzare per via della pandemia.
“Ho ricominciato a dipingere volti all’inizio della pandemia, gente che conosco e perfetti sconosciuti, tutti con tratti, colori ed età differenti. Come una necessità, un processo liberatorio, d’istinto e di getto rielaboravo i lineamenti facciali dei visi nella loro totalità, eliminando, in questo caso, quella mascherina che ci ha costretto ad uno sguardo parziale.
DIVISI nasce in difesa del valore del volto come definizione fondamentale di un’umanità che non vuole perdersi”.

This exhibition contains over forty portraits, painted in watercolour and ink on paper and canvas by the Andalusian artist Laura Fernández T.
A journey of investigation and introspection of faces “without borders”, from her native Spain to her beloved Salento and the Mediterranean basin, with the aim of breaking down barriers, even those we were forced to raise by the pandemic.
“At the beginning of the pandemic I started painting faces again, both of people I know and perfect strangers, all of them with different features, colours and ages. As a liberating process, I instinctively reworked the facial features of these faces in their entirety, as if this was out of necessity, erasing, in this case, the mask that forced us to look at them in a partial manner.
DIVISI was born in defense of the value of the face as a fundamental definition of a humanity that does not want to lose itself".
